Terms of Service
Last updated October 24, 2026
1. Who can use KrewBar
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You must provide accurate information, including during verification, and keep your login details secure. One person, one account.
2. Verification
Access to crew communities and private sailing communities requires verification. Passengers verify their identity and sailing; crew members verify with a crew ID card and an employment letter. We may approve, decline or request more information, and may re-verify accounts at any time. Buying a membership never bypasses verification. Ship and cruise-company access may change if your verified employment or booking changes.
3. Memberships and payments
- Free plans are available to verified crew and passengers.
- Paid memberships (for example Crew Connect, Crew Global, Passenger Plus) renew automatically until cancelled. Cruise Pass is a one-time purchase for a single cruise and is active from 30 days before departure until 7 days after the cruise ends.
- Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your store account settings. When you cancel, premium access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- Prices and features are shown before you pay and may change for future billing periods with notice.
- Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from, according to its policies.
4. Community rules
KrewBar only works if it feels safe. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully, stalk or discriminate against anyone;
- post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful or that infringes someone else's rights;
- impersonate anyone, misrepresent your role, or use another person's documents;
- share other people's private information, or photos of people who have not agreed to be shared;
- post confidential or security-sensitive information about a ship, its operations or its crew;
- spam, scam, advertise without permission, or sell prohibited items in marketplace groups;
- scrape, hack, reverse-engineer or interfere with KrewBar.
You are also responsible for following the rules of your employer, your cruise line and the ship you are on. KrewBar does not replace official ship communications or safety instructions.
5. Your content
You own what you post. You give KrewBar a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute your content to operate and promote the service, in line with the audience settings you choose. You can delete your content at any time; copies may remain for a limited period in backups or where required by law.
6. Moderation and termination
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. You can report content or members in the app. You may stop using KrewBar and request account deletion at any time at krewbar.com/delete-account.
7. Third-party services
KrewBar shows cruise, ship and port information from third-party sources and may link to other services. We are not responsible for third-party content or services, and itinerary information may change, so always rely on your cruise line for official schedules.
8. Disclaimers and liability
KrewBar is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for the conduct of members on or off the platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to KrewBar is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are significant we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use KrewBar after that means you accept the updated terms.
